ATR 42-72

COURSE OBJECTIVE
To provide flight crewmembers with the necessary knowledge to understand the basic functions of aircraft systems, the use of individual system components, the integration of aircraft systems, operational procedures, normal/non-normal procedures, checklist usage and standard callouts.

COURSE STRUCTURE
1. Ground School: approximately 3 weeks
a) Theoretical Instruction – 69h
b) Cockpit Procedure Training – 12h
c) Written Tests: 6h
2. Simulator Training in a simulator center in Europe: 10 days
a) 32h – 8 sessions
b) Proficiency Check: 1 simulator session (4h)

DURATION
Approximately 05 weeks

– CRM
– General Operational Subjects
– Review and examination 2. PROCEDURE TRAINING:
– Use of Checklist
– Flight Planning
– Cockpit Familiarization
– Normal, Non-Normal and Emergency Procedures
3. SIMULATOR TRAINING

PRE-REQUISITES
• CPL(A) with ATPL(A) Frozen
• MEP and Instrument Rating
• Multi-crew Cooperation
OR
• ATPL(A) with additional aircraft category and class ratings, as appropriate
• Has had a Type Rating in the past
