1. Introduction
Lockheed L1011 Type Rating Course
This course conforms to
JAR-FCL 1 SUBPART F
2. Course Prerequisites
The applicant shall:
- Have at least 100 hours as Pilot-in-command of aeroplanes (in accordance with JAR-FCL 1.250 (a) (1)).
- Have a valid Multi-engine Instrument Rating (in accordance with JAR-FCL 1.250 (a) (2)).
- Have a certificate of satisfactory completion of Multi-crew co-operation (MCC). If the MCC course is to be added to the type rating course, this requirement is not applicable (in accordance with JAR-FCL 1.250 (a) (3)).
- Have met the requirements of JAR-FCL 1.285 (ATPL Theoretical Theory knowledge in accordance with JAR-FCL 1.250 (a) (4)).
3. Course Objective
To provide licensed pilots with the required theoretical knowledge and practical flight training in order to meet the JAR-FCL Lockheed L1011 Type Rating qualification.
4. Course Structure
This course consists of:
A) Theoretical Instruction
This course comprises 116 hours, of which, 24 hours are CPT training.
B) Simulator Training
Comprises 36 hours of Simulator Training on aeroplane type.
C) Course Examinations
Official Progress Tests are held during the whole course.
The pass mark for all written tests is 80%.
For Practical Classroom Instruction or Practical Flying a result
“Standard” or above is required.
5. Courseware
The Lockheed Type Rating package includes:
- Complete set of manuals;
- Flight deck panel posters;
- Computer Based Training (CBT).
6. Privileges granted by this course
The privileges of the holder of a Lockheed L1011 Type rating are to act as a pilot on Lockheed L1011.
